BACKJUMP
To kick off the event, Spectrum Productions is proud to present the world premiere of BackJump, a multi-media animated short film created by a talented group of autistic and neurodiverse artists from our Creative Media Lab!
Following the screening, Felipe Arasanz, Kat Tuck, Anthony Campoli, and Adrien Nicholas will take the stage for a 30-minute panel discussion offering insights into their collaborative creative process and the making of the film.
THE STIMMING POOL
The feature presentation of the event, The Stimming Pool is a visionary hybrid feature film co-created by the Neurocultures Collective—a group of autistic artists—alongside filmmaker Steven Eastwood. Blending elements of fantasy and observational storytelling, The Stimming Pool offers a unique cinematic experience shaped by autistic and neurodiverse perspectives.
Autistic actors and non-actors move through various settings culminating in a shared utopian celebration of neurodivesrity. The film presents a rich, immersive view of autistic experiences, inviting audiences into a world shaped by different ways of sensing and interacting.
