PROGRAM REGISTRATION

USING OUR REGISTRATION SYSTEM

Spots are available! But, Everyone will be added to the waiting list first.

  1. Scroll through the list of programs and click on the waiting list button for the program you are interested in.

  2. Please fill out your information and submit.

  3. You will get an email when we process and approve your application.

  4. Full payment is due on or before the first day of programming.

  • To ensure that registrants are enrolled in the program best suited for their interests and goals, there is an intake process for all new registrations.

    If you haven’t attended programs at Spectrum Productions before, we want to get to know you in a friendly interview before approval for a program to ensure we have found the best fit for you!

    All participants, new and returning, must go through this registration portal for each new term; there will be no exceptions. Priority re-registration is given to those who currently attend a program. If you would like to maintain your spot, you must respect the re-enrollment deadline.

  • While most programs will run in-person at the Spectrum Productions studio, we will maintain access to hybrid and online learning by request. Before any online/hybrid session, a Zoom link will be provided to participants that prefer to attend remotely. Participants can split their time between home and studio, come in once in a while, or decide to work from home at the last minute; it’s all about what works best for you! We are open to any feedback regarding additional support we can offer to improve the distance learning experience.

    SOFTWARE AND TOOLS AT HOME

    We will be able to make recommendations for free software participants can use at home. While the Adobe Suite remains the best tool we can recommend, the pricing of this product is not accessible and we will adapt to various alternatives. While for some programs, having tools at home is ideal, other programs will allow for participants to remotely access software on Spectrum’s computers. Please do not purchase software without discussing it with us first.

  • Full payment is due on or before the first day of programming. If not paid by this date and no contact has been made to our team, the application will be cancelled and the spot is offered to applicants on the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.

    We accept the following forms of payment.

    1. E-transfer to info@productionsspectrum.com

    2. Cheque (payable to Spectrum Productions, 5445, av. de Gaspé, suite 415, Montreal, Qc H2T 3B2)

    3. Online Credit or Debit Card Payment on the registration platform (Extra Fees of 3% are charged by Stripe.com)

    4. Cash (in person)

    In some cases, monthly payment plans are available; we aim to be flexible. Please contact us to arrange a payment plan at info@productionsspectrum.com .

  • We continue to follow ongoing provincial health orders regarding COVID-19 and will update our members if current restrictions change in a manner that affects programming. The health and safety of our members, guests and professional staff is a top priority.

WHAT’S NEW?

CREATIVE MEDIA LAB CO-LAB

Creative Media Lab Co-Lab is a new initiative piloted last fall that provides participants the opportunity to join a collaborative film project and follow through the entire process of producing a film in an environment that mirrors that of a real-industry production project. Co-Lab runs like a professional production studio – everyone interacts in a professional manner and does professional work including meeting deadlines! Efforts are made to pair participants with tasks in areas they identified as a personal or career goal, and are introduced new skills and production areas along the way.

PLUS OPTION

Need a little extra help to develop a project or a new skill? We have added a PLUS option that you can add on to any of our core programs. Sign up for extra ONLINE individual sessions once or twice weekly, and sit down with a one-on-one mentor who will guide you in the completion of your individual projects. You will be paired with skilled staff member or professional from various specialized fields in the arts so that they can help you learn a technical skill in depth, read your script, help you plan your shoot or editing workflow, review your edit, help you improve the final cut or anything else you need help with. This option is based on availability and matching with a mentor, so may take time to add on.
